Description:  It is one of the planned Metro lines in Cairo of 34 Km length connecting Northern Cairo, near the ring road to Southern Cairo passing through Shubra El-Kheima and New Maadi. It will also extend to the East to link Cairo with the New Capital City as one of the three planned connections that will link the New Capital to Cairo Mass Transit Systems.
